nitric oxide mediated signal transduction

Any intracellular signal transduction in which the signal is passed on within the cell via nitric oxide (NO). Includes synthesis of nitric oxide, gasoreceptors for nitric oxide (such as soluble guanylyl cyclase/sGC) and downstream effectors in cell.
